Piccadilly
500 was set up in 1995. The present committee is comprised of over
twenty dedicated volunteers, many of whom have family members that
have been directly affected by cancer and have come together to raise
much needed funds. The money raised from this year's ball will go to the Medical Oncology Unit (MOU) at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, which specialises in treating patients with lymphoma and leukaemia. Together, lymphoma and leukaemia account for around 17,400 new cases of cancer every year in the UK. We still have much to learn about these diseases and the funds that we raise will help fund this vital research. |
